WANGANUI’S “RAIN DAY”

(P.A.) WANGANUI, Nov. 7. Although it was brilliantly fine when most people went to work to-day, heavy rain fell about 10 a.m., this being the 32nd Friday in succession on which rain has fallen in Wanganui. Until to-day there had been no rain in Wanganui since last Friday, when the official recording was seven-hundredths of an inch.

To-day's rain, coming after a sequence of sunny days, was a surprise to those people who thought that the queer ‘rain day” cycle was at an end.
