200,000 in Polish Army for Russia

TO TIGHT POLAND’S GREATEST ENEMY Received Friday, 1 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6. Professor Grabski, ex-Polish Minister of Education, has arrived in Britain after two years in a Soviet prison. He stated that about 200,000 Poles are joining the Polish army which is forming in Russia. “Despite the great hardships and trials through which they have gone they have now come in thousands from all parts of Russia to the Polish recruiting centres to don Polish uniforms and get guns to fight Poland’s greatest enemy.

“Many barefooted and hungry tramped hundreds of miles from prison camps. When I was leaving Russia General Anders, the Polish Commander in Chief, had many thousands fully trained if undernourished and exhausted men at his immediate disposal. Their spirit is fine."
