Appointments and Promotions

OFFICERS ON ACTIVE SERVICE Per Pres* Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. The following appointments, promotions or relinquishments of temporary rank of officers on active service with, the Second N.Z.E.F. overseas are confirmed in to-night’s Gazette:— Lieutenant-Colonel F. L. Hunt, 33rd (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, Headquarters, Maadi Camp, aud remains seconded.

Lieutenant-Colonel S. F. Allen, New Zealand Divisional Signals, relinquishes the command of the New Zealand Divisional Signals, and is appointed to the command of the Central Infantry Training Depot and is seconded. Major (temporary LieutendantColonel) A. W. Greville, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes the command of the Northern Infantry Training Depot and is appointed second in command of the 22nd (Wellington) Battalion and is seconded.

Major C. L. Walter, New Zealand Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of second in command of the Sixth Field Regiment and is appointed to the command of the Artillery Training Depot. Major L. F. Rudd, New Zealand Engineers, is appointed Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, Headquarters, Maadi Camp, in addition to his present appointment as military sveictr.ry Second N.Z.E.F. and remains seconded. Major Rudd also is granted the temporary rauk of LieutenantColonel.

Major R. W. Sharp, New Zealand Artillery, relinquishes the command of the Artillery Training Depot and is appointed second in command of the Sixth Field Regiment. Major G. L. Agar, New Zealand Divisional Signals, relinquishes the appointment of second in command of the New Zealand Divisional Signals and is appointed to the command of the New Zealand Divisional Signals. Major Agar is also granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

Major J. N. Peart 18th (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of second in command of the Battalion and is appointed to command the Northern Infantry Training Depot. Major Peart has been granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-ColoneL j Mr'or J. Leggat, 22nd (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes appointment of (second in command of the Battalion and is appointed liaison officer from Headquarters Second N.Z.E.F. with a Headquarters and is seconded. Major R. R. McGregor 21»t (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed second in command of the IBth (Auckland) Battalion.

Major H. F. Smith, 25th (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the command of the Central Infantry Training Depot. Colonel A. C. McKillop is appointed to the Second N.Z.E.F. and is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Eighth Brigade Group.
