EMBARGO ON USE OF BATHS

(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 5.

The embargo on the use of the Whangarei School swimming baths by the public was to-day lifted by the Auckland Education Board on the recommendation of the executive committee. A proviso is that the baths are to be chlorinated daily, the water changed weekly, and other safeguards enforced.

Mr Snell said that the baths were originally built for school children, but the board was now asked to believe that they were built for the public, because the public had subscribed. After discussion the board adopted the report and further resolved that the use of the baths by the public be limited to four years.
