PRESBYTERIAN OHTJRCH In his report on the activities of the Apiti Bresoyterian Church, tne secretary, Mr. A. Lawson, offers congratulations to the whole district for the splendid response made to the funds of tne Church during the past year, which has been a record one financially. Including Sunday schools, weii over £7OO has been raised, an amount exceeding the previous year by £2OO, and all this in spite of the many other worthy causes that memoers are called upon to support, which shows that the call of the Church is very much in evidence througnout the district. ‘‘l am sure we are indebted for this spirit of loyalty to those ministers who have laboured so faithfully in years gone by,” he adds. “All Missions were again well supported this year, and in this connection special thanks are due to Mr. Hodson for his keen missionary spirit. The parish's reputation as a wonderful mission supporter has been well sustained, this year's effort touching the three-figure mark. The centenary fund appeal was again well supported, the district to date having raised the sum of £213. The thanksgiving services to be held on the first Sunday in October will give members a final opportunity of contributing to the fund.”
