ACCOUNT R. H. J3ROTHERSTONE, BALLANCE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on the above sale when the dairy herd came forward in good order, August calvers selling quite well while late September calvers were somewhat neglected. Late calvers were also neglected on the day. Dairy heifers sold quite well, quality being exceptionally good. The herd of cows springing to calf averaged over the £lO mark, while those in milk for some time, and the December calvers pulled the average down. Quotations: August calvers, £l2 ss, £l2, £ll 15s, £3l 10s, £lO 10s to £10; early September calvers, £l2, £3 3, £lO 10s, £9 15s to £9 ss; later calvers, £lO, £9 30s, £8 15s to £8; cows, due November and December, £B, £7 to £6 10s; 2yr. spg. dairy heifers, £l2 ss.
