Upon their return home Mr. and Mrs, V. W. Sowry received a warm welcome when a number of friends gathered at their home in a surprise party and passed a happy evening with games, competitions, etc.

On his return to parade after his honeymoon Mr. V. Sowry received a “courtmartial” from the Home Guard when the C. 0., Mr. G. F. Hoggard, presented him with a set of flreirons together with the good wishes of his fellow Home Guardsmen.

Miss R. Groves hase returned from a visit to Wanganui.

Away on a visit to Carterton is Miss Freda Angove.

Having completed his two months in camp for Territorial training, Mr. E. Groves has returned home.
