Airs. Cuthbert Freyberg, Palmerston North, who has been visiting Kerikeri, returned south on Thursday. Airs. H. Scot-t and Aliss Eunice Scott are Palmerston North visitors to Wellington. Airs. Joseph Bartlett, who died at Hastings last week, was born at Tutaenui, Aiarton, in 18(55, and went to Hawke’s Bay about 30 years ago. Air. and Airs. Bartlett were well-known in the Hastings and Napier districts, where tney occupied several farms till settling in retirement in Hastings. Airs. Bartlett leaves a husoand, one son, Air. H. Bartlett (Palmerston North) and two daughters, Airs. A. H. Gordon (Gisborne) and Aliss AI. Bartlett (Hastings). One son was killed in action in the Great War. Air. A. Coleman (Aiarton) is her sole surviving brother.
