Charged with driving without due care and attention, Patrick John Francis Sheehan, a labourer, of Palmerston North, who did not appear, was convicted and lined £3 with ten shillings costs. The police evidence was to the effect that Sheehan had driven a car into the back of another car parked in Main Street. l Lincoln Campbell, of Ashhurst, appeared in answer to a charge of allowing stock ot wander on the Bunny-thorpe-Ashhurst Road. He was convicted and fined £2 plus costs.
