At the annual meeting of the Cemetery trustees there were present Messrs. W. B. Duthic (chairman), J. W. Clovely, R. 0. Powell, W. T. Maxwell ;and j. Scheldt. The chairman reported on the work done by the County Council and also submitted the balance sheet which showed a balance of £lO 0s 7d. Five plots were taken during the year. Thanks were accorded the chairman for getting the work done at the cemetery. I At the annual meeting of the Domain Board there were present Messrs. J. Bchoidt (chairman), J. \Y. Clevely, W, T. Maxwell, R. C. Powell and . i>. Duthie (secretary). The chairman gave a report on the work carried out during the year. The balance sheet showed the receipts £419 2s Bd, expenditure £l5O 9s Id, balance £268 17s 7d. The main item of expenditure was £124 for repairs and top dressing tho tennis courts. Mr. fcjcheidt was re-elected chairman and thanks were occorded to the officers for their services. Miniature Rifle Club

Dance The hall was a gay scene on Wednesday night when the Young Farmers' Club held its annual dance. There was a large crowd of young people present. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Messrs. R. Clevely and P. Wiggins. Supper arrangements were in the hands of Mesdaines McKenzie, -Burling, Harris and Miss Armstrong, assisted by members of the club. Tho Monte Carlo Waltz was won by Miss E. Nagel and G. Bennet, and the Lucky Gay Gordons by Mrs. Price and D. McKenzie. Among those present were Mrs. 11.
