Highly Successful Attack On Convoy
SUPPLY SHIP BLOWN UP; DESTROYER DAMAGED LONDON, May 15. The Fleet Air Arm made a highly successful attack on an enemy convoy proceeding southwards in the Mediterranean. Kits were scored on an 8000-ton supply ship which blew up with a terrific explosion and cn a destroyer from which heavy clouds of smoke were pouring, “and it was not a smokescreen," added the Admiralty communique.
