Huge Slaughter Of Cattle in France
Received Thursday, 7.20 p.m. VICHY, May 14. The Minister of Agriculture (M. Caziot) announced that 1,200,000 head jof cattle were being slaughtered because fodder was 4,410,000 tons below the amount required as a result of last season’s poor harvest, the ravages of war and the blockade.
