Winds: Becoming fresh to strong easterly or north-easterly over the northern half of the North Island; elsewhere light or moderate with easterly to northerly predominating. Seas (New Zealand waters): Becoming rough north of East Cape; otherwise slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong northeasterlies and rough seas in tho north ern portion; moderate easterlies and moderato seas in tho southern portion. Weather: Fair in the western districts of the South Island; cloudy to overcast over the remainder of tho country with drizzle or rain at times over the northern and eastern portions of the North Island and scattered morning mist or drizzle elsewhere. Temperatures: Moderate. YESTERDAY’S TEMPERATURES Maximum 63 degrees F. Minimum 55 degrees F.
