Tlie United States Steel Corporation’s nett income for tho first quarter of 1941 totals 36,559,000 dollars, the liighj cst in any quarter since 1929 despite \ record taxes. Plants are operating all the time at a high record of which 50 per cent, is going to the defence programme.
