Mrs. D. Corbett, of Napier, is visiting her father, Mr. J. D. C. Crewe, of Wakeman Street.
The manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Eketahuna, Mr. A. D. Murray, who has been resident there for the past 15 years, retires shortly, and is to be succeeded by Mr. W. D. Hart, of Raetihi. » Two well-known farmers of the district, Mr. J. D. Piper, of Makairo, and Mr. Joseph Rose, of Kohinui, are reported to be seriously ill and their many friends will be glad to learn of their early recovery. At the meeting of the Dairy Board’s ward conference held at Woodville recently Mr. Phil Davies was elected unopposed as representative for the Pahi-atua-Eketahuna district and Mr. Edgar Harding was re-elected for Southern Hawke s Bay.
