(From Our Own Correspondent.) Borough Council Mr. E. Butt presided at the fortnightly meeting of: the {Shannon Borough j Council, when there were also present Councillors W. Clayton, 11. E. Downes, H. Aitchesdn, R. Lind and E. Perry. The Town Clerk was directed to order 30ft. of Sin. steel pipe for water supply emergency. It was resolved to write to the Shannon Dairy Company, asking for their co-operation in the prevention of further damage to the sealing in Stafford. Street by the lorry carrying skim milk. Clr. Lind reported that the sanitary lorry had been repaired, but that he was unable to obtain the services of a suitable man to relieve the Council employee who wras due for his annual holidays. Also at Moutra they lmd a hall where they could meet which besides being central would by their hiring it help to pay off the debt now causing some anxiety. It seemed to bo the general wish of the Moutra residents that a branch bo formed there which would mean that the Shannon, branch would lose 8 active members.
