Palmerston North Horticultural Society
The annual chrysanthemum show will be held in the Empire Hall on Saturday, j May 3. This show is looked forward to by “mum" enthusiasts, and according to reports from growers a good display is to be expected. Many new varieties will be on view—from the handsome Japanese varieties to the diminutive “poms." Besides chrysanthemums there as sections for cut flowers, vegetables and fruit. Tho decorative tions for adults and juniors should attract many entries. Schedules are j obtainable at the florists. The secretary will be at the Empire Hall cm Fri- j day evening from 7 p.m. to receive entries. Exflibitors are requested to make their entries as soon as possible.
