100 Raiders Down So Far This Month
25 BY NIGHT LONDON, April 25. One hundred enemy aircraft nave so far been shot down this month over Britain and around the coasts (says a British Official Wireless message), Of these, 35 have been destroyed at night. Night raiders showered thousands of incendiary bombs over a scattered of Southern England last night. They also dropped many high-explosive bombs. There was only one major fire, which was quickly controlled. Raiders were also reported ever East Anglia and South-West England. A German communique states that Portsmouth was raided last night. It is officially stated that enemy air-. craft dropped bombs this morning on a town near the south coast. A number cf people were injured, and some damage was d<jne. An enemy bomber was shot down into the sea by our fighters. There has been little other enemy air activity to-day.
