“Goodness we’ve been down there nearly half an hour!” This expression, overhead when three ladies came up from seeing the Miniature Waxworks Exhibition in C. & C'a cave, will make you realise that there MUST be a lot to sec. There are only about 15 models, but each is so cleverly produced with such a wealth of interesting detail, that they are absolutely fascinating. And there are often as many as IS life-like movements in each showpiece. To adults, the colourful reproduction, in tiny moving iigures, of Da Vinci’s painting, 11 The Lord’s Supper,” will probably make the greatest appeal. To children, such items, ns the clown with the face that changes from white to black; the conjurer who mysteriously !changes the objects under his top hat: the lions’ tails twitching while Daniel appeals for help —items such as these amuse the children.
