Nearly 100,000 Home Guardsmen
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 21. The Minister of National Service, Mr. R. Semple, announced to-day that the membership of the Home Guard in New Zealand was now 98,500. “Wo set out to get 100,000 members,” Mr. Semple said, * * and we shall have them before April is over. Every effort is being made to equip guardsmen with uniforms.”
