New Zealand Air Casualties

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April S. The following casualties are reported to-night:— (sergeant Lawrence Patrick Ryan, R.N.Z.A.F., admitted to hospital and placed on the seriously-ill list, suffering from shell wounds to the right thigh and arm, sustained in air operations. His father is Mr. W. P. Ryan, of Point Chevalier, Auckland. Sergeant Ryan was born at ton North and was 25 years of age. At the time of his enlistment he was in the Public Trust Office. Sergeant S. Glazer, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, now reported by the International Red Cross to be missing, believed killed in action. His next-of-kin is Mrs. I. Glazer, 15 Lindum Terrace, Oriental Bay, Wellington. Sergeant Glazer was born tn Wellington and educated at Wellington College. Flight-Lieutenant Charles Ewen Willders Evison, R.A.F., previously reported prisoner of war, now reported safe and interned in Portugal. A brother is Mr. J. C. Evison. Flight-Lieutenant Evison was educated at the Ashburton High School. Prior to selection for a short service commission in the R.A.F., he was employed by the Lands and Survey Department, Blenheim. He left New Zealand in December, 1937. to comlnence service. Leading Aircraftman James McCullough, who is reported to have been admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital in a serious condition is now reported to be satisfactory. The following casualty to a member cf the second N.Z.E.F. has been reported:— Private Hugh McCarthy, died of sickness. His wife is Mrs. P. McCarthy, 149 John street, Ponsonby, Auckland Sergeant John Edward Fuller, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, death now presumed to have occurred in August, 1940; wife, Mrs. J. E. Fuller, c/o Mr. C. Kennedy, Grovatown, Blenheim. Sergeant Fuller was born in Blenheim in 1916 and educated at Neison College.
