Strength of Free French
LONDON, Feb. 24. Sub-Lieutenant Saphir, in a speech to-day on behalf of the Free French said: ‘‘Our forces at the end of the year were 35,000 men, 1000 airmen, 20 warships, and 60 merchantmen, exclusive of garrisons in Libya, Eritrea and other African fronts. “Our strength is increasing daily.”
