The council = carried a resolution of sympathy and | decided to forward a letter to Mrs. § Baker expressing its condolences. | The matter of charges for the use ot' = public halls for Home Guard parade = purposes was raised at yesterday’s | meeting of the Kiwitea County Council H when it was decided to write to the = Manawatu-Oroua Power Board request- | ing a remission of charges for lighting jjj in halls and buildings when used for = Homo Guard training purposes.
