RESULTS OF GUESSING COMPETITIONS Following are the results of the guessing competitions in connection with the recent Pahiatua Show:— Sheep (dead weight), correct weight 961'bs.: H. S. Mackicy and W. F. Heckler tied for first, and second prizes with guesses of 961bs. Six competitors tied for third award, being only half a pound out. A draw resulted in the prize for third place going to E. E. Timmins (Mangajnaire). The correct weight of the fat beast was 593 Jibs. The first prize went to Claude Maekie (Kurneroa) with a guest of 5911b5. J. Moore (Maugamaire) and E. Timmins (Maugamaire) tied for second and third places with guesses of 595 i and 590£ respectively. The scrutineers were tho president and secretary and Messrs E. S. Heckler and W. Fulton.
