Wedding of Interest Quietly Celebrated at Kiwitea
YORK—CONWAY A very quiet wedding of much interest attended only by tlio bride’s family took place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, when Flora Elspeth, second daughter of Air. and the late Airs. JVX. A. Conway, qf “ Glenorchy,’’ Cheltenham, was married to Thomas Hastings, only son of Air. and Mrs. Russell, Wanganui, and the late Air. York, of Christchurch. The bride was very smartly attired in a model suit of heavy crepe in shades of navy and battleship grey, relieved only with a spray of carnations. A very smart grey hat with a navy baud, and a red handbag that she carried completed her toilette. Airs. C. Thompson, who attended her sister as matron of honour, looked very becoming in a smart floral frock in cream and brown shadings which was also relieved with a gpray of red carnations at the neckline. A matching hat completed her outtit.
The best man was Air. R. Burrell, of Greatford, brother-in-law of the bride.
