In Air. J. Walker’s woolshed on Alou day evening, a number of young people gathered for the purpose of fare welling a popular young girl of the district, Miss Linda Hansen, who has siuco left to entrain for the nursing profession in Auckland. The time passed happily with dancing and novelty numbers, the music was provided by Air. Ecliven, Bunny iliorpe. Following supper, Air. C. Wilson, on behalf of the young folk of (he district, extended to the guest of honour best wishes of the gathering and asked her acceptance of a crystal honey jar. Air. Whiteman, accompanied by their two small sons, have motored to Tauvanga., where they intend spending several weeks’ vacation. Aliss J. Whittacker is staying with her parents, Mr. and Airs. J. Whit taeker, Aratika. Air. and Mrs. L. Knight and family are spending a. vacation with relative in Wellington. Air. and Mrs. Bruce Burr have relumed from a tour of the South Island.
