(From Oar Own Correspondent.) Defence Rifle Club. The Bulls Defence Rifle Club opened (he season on Saturday, when there was also a large party present from Ukakeu Air Force station. They were shooting without slings or aperture sights, their scores comparing favourably with the others. The scores are:—H. Meads, 48, 49, 97; D. Wilkie, 48, 44, 95; K. Wilkie, 48, 46, 94; A- F. Bulls Women's Institute. There was a fair attendance at the ! Bulls Women's Institute held on. No-1 vember 9, Mrs. Jackson presiding. Huddleston was heard to advantage in a piano solo. The next inatitute meeting will be held on the first day in February. The competition will be" the best decorated preserving jar of Cowers, best bloom and antirrhinum competition. The Rainfall. Mr. K. W. Dalrymple, of “Waitatar»ia,” Parewanui, supplies the following rainfall information:—Rainfall for November was 3.19 inches falling on 12 days. The total for 1940 so far is 28.42 inches, last year’s fall for 11 months was 28.95 inches. The average rainfall for November for 25 years is 2.58 inches, and during that time the rainfall ranged from .76 inches in November, 1932, to 6.79 inches in 1922. Bowling Club. The Bulls Clifton Hall presented an animated appearance on Friday evening when the Sunday School children combined with the Maori girls from the Turakina Maori Girte’ College, held a very enjoyable social. The programme Was as follows:—Opening with the National Anthem. All the children presented a song (“Far Out on the Desolate Billow”), Eva Maskic and M. fcutherland (duet), item by Maori girls, action aong (“Tina Koutou”), Sunday School children's choir (“Ivory Palace”), Maori girls (the double poi), Eva Maskie (recitation), Turakina Maori girls (the Maori marching song of last war), Sunday School choir
