Fair and Mild Fer Fresa Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. An anti-cyclone is centred over the North Island and the north Tasman bea, but the pressure is falling rapidly in the south under the influence of a deep depression located to the southeast of Tasmania. Winds: Light to moderate and variable over tbo Auckland and Hawke’s Bay provinces, but northerlies prevailing over the remainder of the country and becoming strong to-morrow in many exposed positions of the South Island. Seas (New Zealand. waters) : Slight or moderate but rising south of Westport and later about Cook Strait. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to variable winds and slight seas in the northern portion, freshening northerly winds and moderate but rising seas in the southern portion. Weather: For the most part fair to fine; conditions becoming unsettled, however, in the western and far southern areas of the South Island with drizzle or rain developing from the south-west.
