ACCEPTANCES FOR TO-DAY Received Friday, 9.40 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 1. Acceptances for the Mackinnoa Stakes to morrow are Due Scale, Ajax, Historian, Maikai, True Flight, High Caste, Beau Vite and Ortelle’s Star. Historian is also au acceptor for the Hotharn Handicap in which his rivals include Wilson, Dashing Cavalier, Gilltown, Gi&dynev, Old Rowley, Morvren, John Dory, Westwind and Pantler. A later message says Historian has been scratched for the Hotham Handicap and is running in the Mackinnon Stakes. El Golea is still suffering much pain and had anti-tetanus serum injections. He may be openated on to recover the bullets. Beau Vite, accompanied by a police guard, visited the Caulfield tracks and did steady work for two miles. S. Ralph rides Morvren in the Melbourne Cup.
