Feilding Salvation Army
WELCOME TO THE COMMISSIONER TO-DAY An outstanding event in the history of the Feilding Salvation Army will be the visit to the Citadel this week-end of the Lieut.-Commissioner and Mrs. J. Evan Smith. Proceedings will commence to-day and will continue throughout Sunday with special services to be conducted by the distinguished visitor and leader of the movement in New Zealand. Commissioner Evan Smith for many years was private secretary to William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army. He has been stationed in South Africa, India and his last charge was the Wales territory. He will conduct a special service this evening in the Citadel and the public of Feilding and district is cordially invited to take part in all the gatherings to be held in honour of his visit to Feilding,
