Baby Show
ANNUAL SALVATION ARMY PAIR The annual baby show and fair of the Woodville Salvation Army was held in the Woodville Wi. Hall yesterday afternoon and evening. There was a large crowd of those interested in the afternoon and evening and the plain and lancy sewing, produce, cake, novelties and sweets stalls and the tearooms did excellent business. The show was opened by Captain L. a. Jones, who welcomed the visitors and thanked ail who had contributed to uho success of the function. The judges for the baoy show were Aiesdames vVilliam Ogier and Richard jdammond, Church of Christ, Palmerston North. Results of the various sections were as follow: Eighteen months to 24 months (five entries): Baby McGovern (boy) and Baby Bryant (girl). Twelve to lb months (four entries): Maby McKay (girl); Baby Bainbridge (boy). ©lx. to 12 months (six entries): Baby Wiley (girl); Baby Munns (ooy). Up to six months (.five entries): Baby J. Jackson (girl); Baby Peters (boy). The judges remarked that in every class they had extreme difficulty ih giving a decision. The programme was continued in the evening wnen a concert programme was presented.
