Spiritual Defences

The ultimate safety of mankind lies not in the strength of jjhysical ramparts, armies and navies, but in the spiritual defences which are built up in individual human consciousness. While human defence measures are necessary, at present, till hatred and greed are destroyed and mortal thought is educated out of the belief in error as real, nevertheless, permanent and ultimate peace can come only through the establishment of goodwill and brotherly love in the hearts of men. Salvation is individual. The understanding of peace and brotherly love, eotablished in individual consciousness, is more powerful to protect mankind than any of the world’s weapons.
