MORE OF U.S. NATIONAL GUARD CALLED UP
(Received 26, 1.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 25. President Roosevelt has called up 367,000 additional members of the National Guard, including Hawaiian and Puerto Rican units, for a year’s training, which will begin on October 15. The War Department has awarded contracts totalling 171,746,000 dollars to four concerns for aircraft and aeroengines.
