EXPLOSION IN U.S. CHEMICAL PLANT

(Received 26, 1.30 p.m.) CLAIRTON (Pennsylvania), Sept. 25. An explosion occurred in the works of the Pennsylvania Industrial Chemical Corporation and shook the town of Clairton. The plant was engaged in manufacturing solvents for use oy the Dupont concern. All available firefighters were summoned, but the flames are under control. Six employees were injured.
