Fer Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. A belt of high pressure extends from Queensland to beyond the North Island. A weak disturbance is ad vancing across the Tasman Sea, the lowest pressures being well to tho south. Winds: Westerly to northerly, later changing to south-westerly in the south, force mainly moderate but becoming strong at times in exposed positions 30uth of New Plymouth and Napier. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rather rougu south of Cape Egmont, slight to moderate elsewhere. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light variable winds and slight seas in. the north; fr©3h north-west winds in the south, changing later to southerly with moderate to rather rough seas. Weather: Mainly fair and mild, unsettled however in western districts of the South Island and showers later extending to Southland and Otago with the south-westerly change; patches of fog likely again to-night on the Canterbury and Marlborough coast.
