GERMAN AIRMAN GIVES HIMSELF UP 11 DAYS AFTER PARACHUTING FROM PLANE
(Received 8, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 7. It is disclosed that a German airman who landed by parachute about 11 days ago was captured in the Bristol area. lie surrendered to a woman motorist, who noticed his unusual appearance. Lady Buckland, widow of Lord Buckland and sister-in-law of Lord Camrose, was responsible for the capture of the airman, who stated that he was afraid to surrender because he believed he would be executed. Two others who baled out of the same plane, which crashed, were captured two days later.
