Mrs. P. F, O’Connor and Miss K. O’Connor, Ferguson Street, were recent visitors to Wellington. Miss Olga Hancock will be a Palmerston North visitor to llawera for the week-end. Mrs. John Murphy, of Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs. Jack Campbell, of Taonui. Miss Elsie Sandman, Miro Avenue, who recently underwent an operation in hospital, has returned home, her friends will be glad to learn. Mrs. A. F. Duinmer left Feilding on Friday to visit tho Centennial Exhibition and during a week’s stay in Wellington will be the guest of Mrs. Emison Gilbey, Lyall Bay. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Dewe, of Feilding, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. R. Mackintosh, have been on a brief visit to Wellington by car for tho Centennial Exhibition. In the annual report presented to members of the Manawatu Women’s Club yesterday regret was expressed in tho departure of Mis. L. A. Ferguson, a valued member of the executive, who has left to make her home in Africa. A cordial welcomo was extended to Mrs. S. J. Parkes by Mrs. A. E. Mansford on behalf of members of the Manawatu Women’s Clan yesterday on her return from overseas travel, w'ith the hope that she would share something of her experiences with the club at a later date. Returning thanks, Mrs. Parkes said she could say she was really pleased to be home.
