Baths for Rangiwahia

CO-OPERATIVE EFFORT BY SETTLERS

Judging by the progress already made the settlement of Rangiwahia will have a swimming bath before tho summer season is over. A working bee organised by the settlers has just about completed the necessary excavation and preparations are now in hand for the building of the concrete walls. Tho baths will be 66ft. in length by about 30ft. across and will be filled from a near-by spring. Tho site of the baths is on ground immediately at the rear of the Rangiwahia Dairy Factory and when completed it will prove a great boon to the settlement and district. Public subscriptions have been willingly given to enable the costs to be met and all the labour is free. The biggest cost will bo the concreting and local efforts are being made to secure all the finance required.
