Wage Increases at Home
ADMIRALTY TO PAY WAR RISK MONEY Received Friday, 7.5 p.m. LONDON, x-rrr. z 4. Wago increases are announced for 120,000 workers in rubber, paper making, drugs, bacon, linen, furniture and engineering industries. The Admiralty has decided to pay war risk money to Admiralty Yard craftsmen, ranging from 2s 2d to 3s 4d a day. The Glovemakers’ Union and 40,000 London bus and tram workers are seeking higher wages.
