Masterton Bookmakers “It is well known that there is more money spent in Masterton in bookmaking than for legitimate purposes,” commented Detective-Sergeant W. Kane in the Magistrate's Court, Masterion, recently when two men were charged with offences under the Gamiug Act. “There are far too many bookmakers in Masterton, and I intend to suppress them.
