HONOLULU CLIPPER DELAYED

ADVERSE WEATHER (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. Adverse weather conditions between Noumea and Auckland have prevented the Honolulu Clipper from making the last hop of the flight to Auckland to-day. The airport manager at Auckland, Mr D. Walker, advised that the clipper is to remain at Noumea pending better visibility and general conditions. She is expected to arrive to-morrow. The third stage of her long flight from San Francisco to Auckland was Completed by the Pan-American Airways Honolulu Clipper, when she landed at Noumea from Canton Island at 5.17 o’clock yesterday afternoon (New time). The slipper covered the [distance of 1974 miles in 12 hours 29 ,mmutes. Though a sister-ship, the California Clipper, was seen in Auckland some months ago, it is likely that there will be considerable public interest in the arrival of the Boeing. In the interests of safety, strict control will be exercised at Pan-American Airways base in Mechanics Bay, and visitors will not be allowed within the company’s property. There are, however, many suitable vantage points in the vicinity, from which the landing, of the machine on the harbour may be Viewed by the public.
