DIFFICULT CASE FOR JUDGE Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. When Doris Jones, a clerk, of Waipukurau, appeared before Mr. Justice Blair for sentence for theft of sums of money totalling £637 from the Waipukurau County Council she was remanded for another week. She pleaded guilty at Napier and was remanded to Wellington for sentence so that her case could be considered in the meantime. His Honour said he had instituted certain inquiries before coming to bis decision, and those were not completed.
