Ladies’ Committee of Russell Street School
At the monthly meeting of the ladies’ committee of the Russell Street School, arrangements were made to hold a card evening at tho school during tho month. A social, afternoon was held ou July 26, at the, school, when opportunity was taken to thank Mrs. D. Hodgson for her past services as honorary secretary of the ladies’ committee. She was the recipient of a channiug bouquet and a crystal vase as tokens of appreciation from both the ladies’ and men’s committees, Mrs. D. Rabono and Mr. J. Grant making tho presentations. Mrs. Allen, wife of one of tho members of tho school staff, was also a guest of 'honour, being welcomed to Palmerston North as a recent bride.
