Notes of the Day
As advertised in this issue a general meeting of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society is being held this evening at 8 o’clock in Mr. P. P. Stevens’ auctio»u mart rooms, Fergusson Street, Feilding. Attention is drawn to the grand carnival dance being conducted under the auspices of the Lytton Street School Old Pupils’ Association in the Parish Hall to-morrow evening. Bram well's orchestra has been engaged for the occasion and an excellent programme, including novelty dances, has been arranged, while tho distribution of streamers and balloons will create a truly carnival atmosphere. Dancers aro promised an entertaining evening aud indications are that this function will surpass tho previous successful dance conducted by the association.
