From Our Own Correspondent. The table tennis club held an old-time dance recently and the winners for the lucky dances were: Spot waltz, Mrs. Eagle and Mr. Keohler; Gay Gordons, Miss E. Woodd and Mr. Iv. Woodd. Mr. F. Eagle was M.C. There was a good attendance at the National Party euchre evening held recently. The winners were Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Shannon, with consolation prizes to Mrs. Philips and Mr. Romiey. The education board lias recently effected improvements to the school residence, including an electric hot water service. While attending classes at the Technical School, Nelson Wood had the misfortune to cut his hand, which necessitated medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. W. Yaulier are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. Van tier. Mr. ancl Mrs. E. L. fimith are holidaying in the Waikato district
