USE OF CAMERAS BY TRAFFIC INSPECTORS The North Island Motor Union advised the Automobile Association (Manawatu) at its meeting last evening that the Minister of Transport, Hon. R. Semple, proposed to equip traffic inspectors with cameras for tho purpose of showing tho positions of vehicles on the road, apparently with a view to photographs being used for proof of evidence against motorists. The Automobile Association (Wellington) had written to the Motor Union pointing out that uujess a photograph was taken from a particular position in relation to the object which is being photographed it would not necessarily show the true relationship of one vehicle with another or with other objects. Tho Motor Union asked for tho comments of the association. It was decided to reply that, as the Courts were now familiar with the use of photographs, the association could not seen any real danger in allowing traffic inspectors to use cameras.
