Tour By Director of Imperial Institute
DOMINION IN NOVEMBER The Director of the Imperial Institute, Sir Harry A. F. Lindsay, who is to visit New Zealand and Australia, will leave London on October 13, and join tho Aorangi at Vancouver for Auckland, where ho' should arrive in the middle of November. Three weeks are to bo spent in New Zealand mainly in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
As a time-saving means, Sir Harry will travel chiefly by air during his journeyings from north to south. He hopes to address Rotary Clubs and other organisations interested iu Imperial affairs, on the work of the Imperial Institute and the Royal Empire Society. Sir Harry is a well-known figure in Loudon. He has spent a number of years in India, holding important offices. From 1923 to 1934 he was Trade Commissioner in London for tho Government of India. His appointment as Director of the Imperial Institute was made in 1934 on the death of Sir William Furze.
Tho work of the Institute has an important bearing on all parts of the Empire, and the present director has done a great deal to impart fresh life and vigour to this instituton.
