TORONTO—An expedition to southwestern Saskatchewan will leave the Royal Ontario Museum here shortly to search for a collection of Oligocene mammals, similar to those occurring in the famous Badlands of South Dakota. Tho group under the direction of Dr. L. S. Russell, assistant director of the museum of palaeontology, will work in the region of tho Cypress Hills, where raro remains occur that have not been found in Dakota. j Amoug the fossils which may be unearthed are skulls and bones of the giant titanotheriidae, a creature that resembled the rhinoceros, but was much larger; pre-liistoric three-toed horses, which were not much bigger than sheep; early forms of cats, dogs, camels, antelopes, squirrels and rabbits.
