Meat Producers’ Board

The returning officer announces that he has received the following nominations as delegates to represent tho various districts on the electoral committee:—

Auckland District: F. C. Johnstone, Waitetuna; A. B. Moore, Whangarei: H. W. Wilson, Ngaruawahia. Gisborne District: T. Le C. Powdrell, Wairoa; 6. D. Reeves, Gisborne. Hawke’s Bay District: E. Averill, Hastings; C. R. Edgecombe, Hatuma; J. Graham, Mangatahi; L. Maclean, Hastings; H. B. Stuckey, Dannevirku (Three delegates required.) West Coast District: T. Currie, Brunswick; J. R. L. Hammond, Rata; J. Knight, Feilding; L. Marfell, Stratford; L. B. Wall, Kairanga. (Four delegates required.) Wairarapa District: W. F. McLaren, Masterton; M McLeod, Martinborough.

Marlborough - Nelson - Westland District: H. J. Stace, Spring Creek. North and Mid-Canterbury District: C. A. Campion, Rakaia; A. M. Carpenter, Fernside; E. Hay, Pigeon Bay. South Canterbury District: R. G. Cleland, Pleasant Point; H. B. S. Johnstone, Otaio.

Otago District: D. H. Cockburn, Queenstown; W. Doig, Papakaio; J. D. Revie, Heriot.

Southland District: H. P. Mclntyre, Gore-Waikaka, R.D.; A. Napper, Woodlands; E. K. Sim, Pukemaori; H. Smith, Waikaka Valley. (Two delegates required.) Except in the case of Hawke’s Bay West Coast and Southland districts, the number of nominations does not exceed the number of delegates required. A postal ballot is boing conducted in the threo districts named and the necessary ballot paper is being despatched to each sheepowner owning not less than one hundred sheep in those districts. The electoral committee elected from tho abovo will assemble in Wellington on August 30 and 31, to consider the scyentoenth annual report and statement of accounts of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, and to elect three producers’ representatives on the board, for which the following have been nominated:—H. D. Acland, Christchurch (sitting member); I, L. M. Coop, Ataahua, Canterbury; J. Cowie, Bal four, Southland; C. C. Holmes, Otaki Railway, Wellington; J. M. James, Masterton; J. D. W.
