Surplus Zoo Animals Some curious items, unusual for New Zealand, will be numbered among the country's exports during the next few weeks. They comprise surplus animals bred at the Auckland Zoo which are being sold in Australia. An Aucklandborn mouflon lamb, whose forefathers ranged the hills and valleys of Sardinia, is being sent to Perth Zoo. Western Australia. Accompanying him will be three raccoons who have never seen their native North America. To Melbourne the zoo is sending a young macaque, or pigtail monkey, whose habitat is the Malay States. With the macaque will go a young sacred baboon, born in Auckland of parents which originally came from Abyssinia.
